Week full of sessions ( :

I haven't done a great job of coming back to blog. But, at last, I'm finally back. It didn't take too terribly long.

The past couple weeks have been good. As I stated in the last entry. I got to photograph a sweet little one week old that I never posted photos of. So as promised, here are a couple of her.

I had another one but I can't seem to locate it. It must be on the other computer.

I probably shouldn't have waited this long to blog because I can't remember a lot of what I would have said. Since coming back from Oklahoma I haven't been doing my diet at all, until this past Monday. The scale told on me too. But since Monday I've lost 4.6 pounds back. Yay. At least I know what to do now to get it back off. I did win a contest last Tuesday that didn't help. I was lucky ticket number 14 and won a dozen of these awesome cupcakes! I didn't eat them all tho! But I was thrilled to win since I never win anything.

Another great thing that happened last Tuesday was that I finally got to order a new computer! A Mac! I love it so much! I'm very thankful and blessed to have been able to get it. Especially since the day after I got it my laptop decided it wanted to keep crashing for no reason I can figure out.

And then, if that wasn't enough good for Tuesday, here's a little more! I went out with a friend and had a fun little session with some of her kiddos. 2 of them for their birthdays that we hadn't done yet, and one for a test session for some mini sessions I am going to be doing on Saturday. Here's a little of what we got. The collage was what I made to advertise for the minis.

On Wednesday I got to photograph another little cutie.  Because of the rain we thought we were supposed to be getting, we moved his session up in the time he should have been napping. So, while he wasn't too smiley, we did get some cute shots! Meet Jackson!

Thursday was an Easter Celebration with a group I have with church. We did it for the neighborhood of where we hold our fellowship. We're currently in the process of trying to start a new campus. It went great. Lots of adults and kids showed up and they seemed to have fun. I photographed a little and then helped make some snow cones.

Friday I had a session with the most adorable little 6 (really 7) month old. She didn't have a nap so we weren't sure what to expect, but she did awesome!

Saturday was my last Easter session. A cute little 9 month old boy. He also did great.

I almost forgot. Saturday morning was our Easter celebration at the church. We had tons of people out for an Easter Egg hunt, games, food, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. My morning was consumed with photographing lots of kiddos. I'm pretty sure we did over 100. And thankfully, not too many of them were scared of the bunny. As always, some were. But, I didn't think it was too bad. (no, that wasn't our bunny. Just a helper while I was setting up.) After the session I went to a cookout with some friends. It was a great day.

I didn't really do much Sunday. I went to church and ordered pizza. I watched 2 movies and then went to watch a movie with a friend. A slow but enjoyable Easter Sunday. This week hasn't been too busy except for going to the gym. I'm really looking forward to my Mommy and Me mini sessions on Saturday though. ( :

Just a little bit of me

With so much of my family living far away, I decided I would make a blog just for you guys. Just a little bit of my everyday life so you can keep up with me. Hopefully I remember to keep up with it. I will try to include some photos too. ( :

This past week was an awesome week, so I will start with that. I got to go to Tulsa, OK for a big photographer's convention. I'm lucky enough to have gone for the past 3 years. It was in OK the first year and this year, and it was in KS last year. I guess I was really excited to go because I forgot my camera. The one essential thing you need. I was pretty bummed about it, but got over it.  The first night a friend let me borrow her car to drive to another part of OK to see another photographer friend who couldn't attend the meetup. We talk daily and had never met. It was amazing to finally get to meet her. She is an awesome photographer and a great person. I stayed the night with her and she showed me around. The next morning we went for a run together, and sadly I had to leave her at 10am. The next 2 days were filled with 2 classes a day, hanging out with some amazing people who let me borrow their camera when I needed it, a 5K race, and just an all around good time. I also probably ate more than I should. Here are a few photos from my trip..

I came back on Sunday. I landed about 3:20, finally got out about 4:30, went to pick up some food, and then headed to church to help take care of nursery. It was a great time.

This week hasn't been quite as interesting. I had a cutie come for a session the other day. She is a friend of mine from HS's little girl. Here's a photo of her from the shoot.

Yesterday I went to shoot track for the first time for a friend. Her son ran the 1600 meter (1 mile). He placed third. Then we went to eat at Guiseppi's (pizza). It was a nice day.

This morning I got to photograph a sweet little 1 week old girl. She did awesome. I will have to post photos of her later as I haven't been able to load her photos yet. I keep running out of room on my hard drive. A little bit of a pain, but, I get my stuff done one way or the other.

Hopefully this hasn't been too boring for you guys, and maybe you even find it interesting. I promise to try to update it as much as I can. Feel free to leave me comments and love. ( :
